Fresh Start 4 Vets allows Project Unity to provide job training and occupational skills to Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, in need of assistance to get back on their feet by increasing their likelihood of getting back into the workforce and on the path to becoming self-sufficient.
Fresh Start 4 Vets is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. This is a federal, grant based employment program that allows us to work directly alongside the needs of Veterans in our community. Serving all 7 counties across the Brazos Valley.
Eligibility Criteria

At least one day of active duty service (National Guard and Reserve must have been federally activated for duty, not including training)

Discharge that is anything but dishonorable

At risk of being homeless, currently homeless, or homeless in the last 60 days

Low income or currently receiving public assistance

Needing assistance transitioning from incarceration
